The University of Brescia, through its DII and DICATAM departments, has joined the DIHCube project which, in addition to a series of services aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, offers various courses in construction and topography.
With the aim of producing material useful for teaching purposes, in recent days some photogrammetric surveys were carried out inside a porphyry quarry.
The first photogrammetric survey relates to a particular case study in which, through point cloud analysis, it is possible to calculate the volume of a pile of loose material.

The second case study deals with the survey of the quarry face in order to be able to carry out a status check, also in volumetric terms, with subsequent surveys.
